AOY Art Center Holding 12th Annual Juried Show

The event in Lower Makefield Township kicks off with an opening reception on Friday and runs through May 5.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —AOY Art Center is holding its 12th Annual Juried Show, which will kick off with an opening reception Friday night and run through May 5.

"The AOY Art Center is thrilled to extend a warm invitation to art enthusiasts from across the region to attend a distinguished event that celebrates the very best artistic talents of our community," organizers stated.

This year, Leah Triplett Harrington , director of Exhibitions and Contemporary Curatorial Initiatives at the prestigious Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA), will serve as the esteemed juror for this year's exhibition.

With her extensive experience and discerning eye, Harrington has reviewed more than 372 submissions and handpicked 109 exceptional pieces across a variety of mediums.

This curated selection promises to offer an extraordinary visual experience for all attendees.

The public is invited for an opening reception and awards program from 6-8 p.m. on Friday.

AOY Art Center will recognize and honor "the outstanding artists behind these remarkable entries" with a series of awards. There will also be Honorable Mention awards sponsored
by Jerry's Artarama of Lawrenceville.

Following the opening event, the gallery will be open to the public free of charge, although donations are appreciated.

The exhibition will be accessible starting Saturday, April 13, from Noon to 5 p.m. and will continue on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from Noon to 5 p.m. through May 5.

"Art has the power to inspire, provoke thought, and connect us on a deeper level. This
exhibition is a testament to the creativity and talent within our community and region,
and we are honored to provide a platform for these artists to share their unique visions
and stories," said Bette Sovinee, AOY's executive director.
