Authorities Rescue 11 Ducklings From Storm Drain In Yardley

YARDLEY, PA — When 11 baby ducklings were in need on Thursday morning, authorities in Yardley were quick to respond.

Crews on the scene were able to recover all 11 of the babies from the drain after they fell through the grate.

Later, they were reunited with their mother - and there's photo evidence:

"Our job is more than criminal and traffic enforcement," Yardley Borough Police said in a Facebook past. "At times we need to rescue little ones from the hands of neglectful parent."

Yardley Police, Lower Makefield and Yardley Borough Public Works, and Yardley-Makefield Fire Company all assisted in the heartwarming rescue.
