Boil Water Advisory In Yardley, Schools Closed Friday
Pennsylvania American Water said high levels of cloudiness that could mean disease-causing organisms was noticed on Thursday.

YARDLEY, PA — The Yardley area was under a boil water advisory Thursday evening and Pennsbury School District schools were to be closed on Friday as a result.
Pennsylvania American Water said in a press release that water service around Yardley was found to be unusually cloudy. The high cloudiness, or "turbidity," suggests the water might contain disease-causing organisms, PAW said.
Residents in Yardley, Lower Makefield and parts of Falls Township were warned not to drink any water without boiling it first.

Pennsylvania American Water said it believes changes in water flows to filters at its treatment plant caused the spike in turbidity. They said Thursday evening they were investigating and would let the public know when the problem has been corrected.
