Burglary Of Yardley Home Leads To Charges
Yardley Borough Police also put out a warrant for the arrest of a New Jersey man on firearms offenses.
YARDLEY, PA —A Morrisville man has been charged in connection with a residential burglary on Monday, Police Chief Joseph Kelly III said.
Borough police officers responded to a report of a residential burglary in the 40 Block of Brown Street.
The suspect was observed in the area and taken into custody by Yardley and Lower Makefield Township police officers. Burglary items were discovered in the vehicle operated by the suspect, the chief said.

The man was charged with burglary, theft by unlawful taking, and receiving stolen property, processed, and arraigned with bail set at 10 percent of $50,000. The suspect has been remanded to Bucks County Jail and the matter is pending a court appearance.

- CITATION – FAILURE TO REPORT AN ACCIDENT —March 22, 40 Block of South Main Street. A 37-year-old Langhorne woman was charged with failing to report an accident. Last Friday, a borough police officer responded to a ‘hit and run’ accident. Further investigation using cameras and automated license plate readers led to the identity of the fleeing vehicle. The driver was identified and a citation was issued. The matter is pending in District Court.
- WARRANT ISSUED – FIREARMS OFFENSES —March 2, 60 Block of North Main Street. A 30-year-old man with addresses in Garfield, N.J., and Trenton N.J. was charged with speeding, possession of marijuana, possession of an altered firearm, possession of a firearm, and other drug and driving offenses. A police officer observed a Subaru sedan speeding 53 mph in a 25 mph zone. Further investigation led to the recovery of marijuana. The driver was arrested, processed, and released. The vehicle was impounded and search warrants were issued and executed. A defaced firearm was later located in the vehicle and an arrest warrant has been issued. The investigation continues and the warrant is pending arrest.
