What is commonly known today as "College Avenue Hill" has many a story. Quarrying was done here, industry flourished, "Yardley Heights" and "Mt. Concordia" were among its names. It is the site of the town's school, its growth was spurred by the advent of US Steel and the Baby Boom, and the sledding tales are derring-do.
