The celebration kicks off on July 3 with a full day of immersive history in New Hope and Lambertville. Actors portraying George Washington, Ben Franklin, Admiral DeGrasse, General Knox, and Martha Washington bring the Revolution to life through educational discussions and Q&A sessions throughout the day. Roxey Ballet performs "NJ Ballad," a stunning re-enactment of Washington's Crossing and the road to victory at Trenton (2 shows: 3:45 and 8:30pm).Live music all day, including Music Mountain Theater performing "Stars & Stripes" patriotic favorites and the HopeWell Band. At 9 pm, the night ends with a spectacular show over the river: fireworks launched from two boats PLUS a 200-drone light show synchronized to patriotic music.

On Saturday, July 4, the celebration moves to the New Hope American Legion parking lot for a full afternoon and evening of live music under a tent, with a revolutionary-themed cash bar and tavern atmosphere. The afternoon begins at 3 pm. Concert admission: $10 per person.

The event concludes with a grand finale. At 10 a.m. a "Freedom Parade" begins at the New Hope American Legion lot and crosses the bridge into Lambertville. At 11:30 a.m., a Relentless Dragon Boat Race will take place on the river with teams representing America and Great Britain. There will also be a dramatic reading of the Declaration of Independence on both sides of the river, with Mayors and dignitaries sharing the honors. At 12 p.m., Simultaneous Bell Ringing across both sides of the river marks the close of America's 250th Birthday weekend.Singers from Playhouse and Music Mountain Theatre close the celebration with a rousing performance of "God Bless America" from both riverbanks.
