Car Engine Catches Fire In Lower Makefield Neighborhood

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —A car engine caught fire Tuesday morning in a township neighborhood, fire officials said.

The Yardley-Makefield Fire Company responded just after 9 a.m. on Tuesday along with Engine 30 from the Falls Township Fire Company to the Hidden Oaks Development for a report of a vehicle on fire.

Fire crews arrived and had a vehicle in the street with a fire in the engine compartment.

Engine 80 arrived and extinguished the engine fire.

The fire company said it has been a busy past week with a large brush fire, 2 extractions, a vehicle fire, and live fire training.
