The township held two community forums with residents about Patterson Farm's future.
Patterson Farm on Mirror Lake Road is located at the entrance of the township from Interstate 95. Township officials said it's an "exceptional resource" for open space, farm fields, historic farmsteads, and natural beauty.
The property and buildings, purchased by the township in 1998, are mostly unavailable to the public due to active farming operations and the unsafe condition of most buildings.
Architectural firm Seiler + Drury was hired by the township to come up with preliminary master plan recommendations on the long-term vision for the 234-acre farm. Those were recently unveiled at a recent community forum.
The township also recently unveiled a new look for its website in another effort to improve transparency. Click here to see the new website.
