John Cramer and his family opened a bakery on East Afton Avenue in 1946.

Their "freshly baked every day" pastries, cakes, and pies built a legion of customers from near and far, the historical association said.

Today, Cramer's Bakery is a town icon, still family-owned and operated.

The program will discuss the first bakery and how it grew, the keys to its success, and the Cramer family.

And attendees can indulge in some of the bakery's most time-honored and craved treats.

After the presentation, the Yardley Historical Association Annual Meeting will be held during which a short report of the year's accomplishments will be given and board members and officers elected.

"Come enjoy the company of your neighbors and learn about Yardley's sweet history," the association said.

The public is invited to attend this free gathering.
