Eleanor Roosevelt ​Students Advance To Odyssey Of The Mind World Finals

Eleanor Roosevelt students placed 2nd in the state finals last weekend. They're headed to Michigan this May to compete in the World Finals!

Six teams from the Pennsbury School District traveled more than 300 miles to the Odyssey of the Mind Pennsylvania State Finals last weekend in Moon Township. Students from Eleanor Roosevelt Elementary School placed second in the competition and will be advancing to the World Finals in May at Michigan State University.

The six teams included students from Afton Elementary, Manor Elementary, Makefield Elementary, Eleanor Roosevelt Elementary, Pennwood Middle School and Pennsbury High School.

"Although the weather was bad and the drive was long on Friday, spirits were high in anticipation of Saturday's competition," said an announcement from Pennsbury School District.

The competition, which took place at Moon Area Schools, included 162 of the best teams from all over Pennsylvania. "All six Pennsbury teams gave 110%, resulting in their best performances of the season," the district said.

Pennwood Middle School received an honorable mention for placing third.
