Email Scam, House Egged: Lower Makefield Crimes
The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents for the past week.
LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —The Lower Makefield Township Police Department released its blotter of criminal incidents for the past week, including an egged house and several fraud cases.
These are the criminal incidents:
Dec. 5
FRAUD —300 Block of Oxford Valley Road, reported at 1:21 p.m. The complainant reported receiving an email from a company they believed to be doing business, stating that they had an unpaid balance. The complainant sent $916.07 via PayPal before realizing it was a scam.

+ List My BusinessCREDIT CARD FRAUD —1200 block of Greenhill Road, reported at 4:37 p.m. The complainant reported an unauthorized use of their credit card for $1,374.40.
Dec. 1
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF —Unit block of Wendover Road, reported at 12:42 p.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) egged their home.
THEFT —1500 block of Cornerstone Drive, reported at 10:45 p.m. The complainant reported
receiving a text message and phone call from someone claiming to be with the fraud
department from their bank. They were instructed to withdraw $27,000 and deposit it into an ATM with an account number and PIN provided and they were instructed to change their account information.
