Firecrackers In Mailbox, iPhone Theft Top Lower Makefield Crimes

The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents from last week.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —A resident had a surprise in their mailbox. But it wasn't a Christmas card or a package for the holidays. It was firecrackers.

ATTEMPTED IDENTITY THEFT —1500 block Hummingbird Court, reported at 9:40 a.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) attempted to use their information to purchase an iPhone.

FRAUD:

  • Unit block of Sunnyside Lane, reported at 12:23 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) sent them a text with all of their personal information.
  • 1900 block of Timber Lakes Drive, reported at 3:58 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) stole 125,500 of their airline points.

CREDIT CARD FRAUD —1200 block of Longmeadow Lane, reported at 6:39 p.m. The complainant reported an unauthorized use of their credit cards.

THEFT —1700 block of Sunflower Way, reported at 2:57 p.m. The complainant reported the theft of an iPhone that fell out of pocket in a Lyft vehicle. The Lyft driver would not respond to calls or messages.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF —500 block of Long Acre Lane, reported at 11:59 a.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) put firecrackers in their mailbox.

Dec. 22

THEFT FROM VEHICLE —Unit block of Wilfred Drive, reported at 2:21 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and removed a backpack containing a laptop.

THEFT —200 block of Hyde Park Place, reported at 4:04 p.m. The complainant reported the theft of a package from their porch.
