FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — Bucks County residents hoping to get a taste of one of Food Network's most popular shows are in for some disappointment, at least for now.

"Restaurant Impossible," which planned to film an episode next month at Michael's Restaurant & Bar in Falls Township, has had to cancel plans for the episode, according to a producer.

"Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to cancel this episode for now, but we hope to come back to the area soon," Allyson Kircher, an associate producer with Lando Entertainment, told Patch in an email.

Kircher did not give a reason why the episode, which was to be filmed on Sept. 10-11, had to be canceled. Monday morning, owner Michael Galasso, Jr. said he has spoken with the "Restaurant Impossible" team and that they "are hoping for a future date."

On the show, Chef Robert Irvine and his crew spend two days helping struggling restaurants turn things around. Kircher's team had put out calls for volunteers to both help refurbish the restaurant and to dine once the turnaround was complete. Both of those calls, obviously, are now canceled for the time being.
