Foot Chase, Price Tag Swap For Meat Top Lower Makefield Twp. Crimes
The Lower Makefield Township Police Department released its blotter Friday of criminal incidents for the past week.
LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —A man swapped a price tag and walked out of ShopRite paying $2 for meat when it cost $100. And a shoplifting led to a police chase.
Those were some of the incidents the Lower Makefield Township Police Department reported in their police blotter of crimes for the past week.

Oct. 12
RETAIL THEFT —Unit block of Oxford Valley Road at the Shell Gas Station, reported at 8:58 a.m. Police responded to a panic alarm for an unwanted subject who was shoplifting. The subject fled upon police arrival. A foot chase ensued and the man was captured by police. The 22-year-old man, with no fixed address, was arrested for retail theft, resisting arrest, and providing false identification to law enforcement. A records check revealed he was wanted out of Ohio. He was arraigned by District Justice Kronnagel and sent to BCCF in lieu of $15,000 bail with 10 percent.

- 600 block of Rose Hollow Drive, reported at 9:31 a.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) used their information to obtain unemployment benefits.
- 1100 block of Gloria Lane, reported at 5 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) used their information to open credit cards.
Oct. 11
RETAIL THEFT —1600 block of Big Oak Road at Shop Rite, reported at 3 p.m. The manager reported that on Sept. 3, a known man entered the store, swapped on a price tag, and left the store after paying $2 for $100 worth of meat. Criminal charges are pending for the 31-year-old Southampton man.
Oct. 10
ATTEMPTED THEFT FROM VEHICLE —1400 block of Oxford Valley Rd. at Yardley Rehab, reported at 7:33 p.m. The complainant reported unknown person(s) smashed their vehicle’s window and rummaged through it. Nothing is reported missing at this time.
Oct. 9
RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY ARREST —900 block of Stony Hill Road, reported at 1:40 p.m. Police on patrol received an LPR hit for a stolen vehicle at the location. Further investigation led to the arrest of a 42-year-old man from Upper Marlboro, MD, for receiving stolen property and possession of marijuana.
Oct. 8
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF —1100 block of Garey Drive, reported at 11:22 a.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) egged the residence.
Oct. 7
CRIMINAL TRESPASS ARREST —1600 block of Bluebird Drive, reported at 2:37 p.m. Police responded to the report of a known subject attempting to break into the residence. Further investigation led to the arrest of a 36-year-old man Aston man for defiant trespass and criminal trespass.
Oct. 6
THEFTS:- 1000 block of Bancroft Lane, reported at 12:14 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) intercepted a mailed check, altered it, and cashed it.
- 1200 block of Knox Drive, reported at 2 p.m. The complainant reported the theft of packages from a mailbox.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF —400 block of Stony Hill Road, reported at 5:40 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) attempted to break into a shed by cutting the lock.
