YARDLEY, PA —Organizers are going to celebrate the 55th anniversary of Harvest Day this year even though it was next year.

But with Tropical Storm Ophelia knocking out the event last September and the rain date, the entire festival was wiped off the calendar.

So Rich Wayne, Harvest Day's co-founder, and the Yardley Harvest Day Committee, will just pretend like 2023 next happened.

Wayne said it was the first time in 15 years that the festival date had to be moved. It was also the first cancellation.

So welcome to Harvest Day 2024. And a date is attached to the festival as well.

This year's date is Saturday, Sept. 21, with a start date at 10 a.m.

"Yardley Harvest Day is marking its 55th year in 2024! Located in downtown Yardley, P.A., Yardley Harvest Day is a community-wide, family-friendly exhibitor’s event that has attracted visitors from all over the Pennsylvania and New Jersey area. Featuring unique crafters and artisans, businesses, kids and adult entertainment, and delicious food! Whether a vendor, business, or visitor, this is the Bucks County event you don't want to miss," organizers said on the Harvest Day website.

For the 55th anniversary last year, Wayne was planning new features such as a new food truck area, Spider-Man, Mickey Mouse, Henna tattoos, Tarot card readings, and a pet-crafter section.

The festival is held at Fitzgerald Field on Bell and College Avenues as well as along Canal Street.
