Harvest Day Postponed Due To Stormy Forecast

YARDLEY, PA —The 55th annual Harvest Day Festival, scheduled for Saturday, is being postponed due to the stormy forecast anticipated over the weekend.

Harvest Day organizers said Thursday that they made the "difficult decision" to postpone Yardley Harvest Day 2023 even though it's always been a rain-or-shine event, co-founder Rich Wayne said.

Organizers said that due to worsening weather conditions, the postponement was in consideration of the safety and enjoyment of all attendees.

"We believe this is the best course of action," organizers said in a Facebook post.

Organizers said they are waiting on confirmation of an upcoming available date to reschedule the event.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 74. North wind around 5 mph.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 52. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 73. East wind 5 to 15 mph.

Friday Night: A chance of rain after 3 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 57. Northeast wind around 10 mph. The chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Saturday: Rain, mainly after 9 a.m. High near 64. Breezy, with a northeast wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Saturday Night: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a low around 57. The chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Sunday: Rain likely, mainly before 9 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 68. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Sunday Night: A chance of rain before 9 p.m., then a chance of showers after 9 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.
