Hatching Ducks Close Lower Makefield Township Park
Lower Makefield Township officials are letting ducks hatch at the Kids Kingdom Playground without disturbance.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —The ducks are replacing the kids at a Lower Makefield Township park, at least temporarily.
Lower Makefield Township officials said Wednesday that the Kids Kingdom playground will be closed while a momma duck watches her ducklings hatch.
Officials said the duck has taken up residence in the playground, and she will not be disturbed at this time.

Once the ducks are safe enough to move, officials said the ducks will be moved and it will be safe to play again.
Officials are asking residents and children not to go near the ducks while they are hatching.

"Even ducks need room to play," officials posted on Facebook.
While the playground is closed, officials suggest using the Memorial Park Playground to visit a new sculpture installation on 1950 Woodside Rd.
