Hikers Beware: Aggressive Raccoon Advisory In Lower Makefield Township
The critter has been spotted in Five Mile Woods. Township officials tweeted the alert Wednesday.
LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —Hikers Beware. There's an aggressive raccoon on the loose in the township.
Township officials tweeted Wednesday an advisory to hikers that an aggressive raccoon has been observed in Five Mile Woods at or near mile marker 7.
"He may have traveled since then," the Tweet warns. "If you are hiking in the Woods, please take caution.

In other township news:
- The parking lots at Memorial Park will be Friday. Please be advised that some areas will be limited during this time.
- The public works department has collected an estimated 8,300 cubic yards of leaves as of Tuesday. Township officials said that's enough to fill the Goodyear blimp or 2-1/2 Olympic-size swimming pools.
- The Holiday Family Fun and Craft Fair takes place on Dec. 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be over 28 craft vendors, concessions, Santa and Mrs. Claus, carolers and crafts.
