Historic Farm Demolition Plan Blasted In Lower Makefield
Lower Makefield residents said a property predating the Revolutionary War should be spared the wrecking ball.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —A proposal to possibly demolish a 1750s-era farmhouse near Oxford Valley Road is being blasted by residents.
The township's Historical Commission has an item on its agenda for Wednesday night's meeting that states "demolition permit pending" for a historic manor home on 3.6 wooded acres just across Oxford Valley Road from the Community Center.
A resident posted on the “Lower Makefield is a Great Place To Live” Facebook page that "there is a large construction footprint" for a new home on the property and now the "demolition permit pending" request.

Residents said the home predates the Revolutionary War with the Bucks County Parcel Planner listing the construction year as 1750.
The property at 1181 Oxford Valley Rd. —lot number 20-034-066 —is owned by an LLC called "1181 Oxford Valley LLC", with Langhorne contact information of Ernest Decaro 455 Mulberry Ct., the post stated.

Residents are not pleased by the possible demolition and expressed their rage on the Facebook page.
