Joseph A. Miskel III is Troop 30's Newest Eagle Scout

Yardley Eagle Scout Joseph A. Miskel III completed a service project to benefit Knights of Columbus at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Troop 30’s newest Eagle Scout is Joseph A. Miskel III. He completed an Eagle Scout Service Project to benefit Knights of Columbus, Father Joseph D. Gallagher Council #3673 in Morrisville as one of the requirements for advancement to the highest rank in scouting.

Joseph led a group of adult and scout volunteers in the construction of Corn Hole game sets which will be used for various events at The Knights of Columbus and lent to Holy Trinity Catholic Church for use at their events as well. The volunteers cut holes in the wood panels, sanded them, painted and sealed them and finished them with the emblem of the Knights of Columbus organization as a decorative touch.

Joseph started his career in scouting as a Tiger Cub with Pack 10 before crossing over to Troop 30. He served his troop as a Patrol Leader and Instructor. Joseph credits the self motivation, organization and time management skills he learned at his first troop campout at Ockanickon Scout Reservation with helping him make through to Eagle Scout. One highlight of his scouting career was the week he spent living aboard a sailboat at the Florida National High Aventure Sea Base.
