Lexus Stolen, Thefts From Vehicles: Lower Makefield Twp. Crimes

The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of recent criminal incidents.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —A Lexus was stolen and there was a rash of thefts from vehicles.

The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents for July 26 through July 31.

July 31

FRAUD —200 block of Clover Hill Court, reported at 6:45 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) intercepted a mailed check, altered it, and cashed it.

July 30

FRAUD —1100 block of University Drive, reported at 7:23 p.m. The complainant reported receiving a text from someone claiming to be their boss requesting them to buy a $500 Apple Gift Card. After purchasing the gift card and sending the information to the phone number, they realized it was a scam.

July 29

FRAUD —2300 block of Brookhaven Drive, reported at 1:12 p.m. The complainant reported
sending $500 via Venmo for a vehicle to someone he believed to be a Facebook friend. The friend’s account was hacked.

July 27

CRIMINAL TRESPASS —900 block of Vansant Drive at Wegmans, reported at 9:18 p.m. Police on patrol observed a suspicious vehicle at the construction site. Further investigation revealed new construction material in the back of the pickup truck. The investigation is ongoing.

July 26

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT —2200 block of Polo Run Drive, reported at 5:48 a.m. The complainant reported the theft of their 2008 Lexus IS250 sometime overnight.

THEFTS FROM VEHICLE:

  • 2200 block of Polo Run Drive, reported at 9:41 a.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered their trailer and removed a TV and construction equipment.
  • 500 block of Palmer Farm Drive, reported at 11:16 a.m. The complainant reported the theft of a license plate from the vehicle sometime overnight.
  • 2100 block of Polo Run Drive, reported at 10:44 a.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and removed AirPods.
  • 500 block of Franklin Circle, reported at 2:16 p.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and removed loose change and the garage door remote.
  • 2000 block of Polo Run Drive, reported at 3:54 p.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and removed a toolbox. Another vehicle on the scene was rummaged through, but nothing was reported missing at this time.
