LinkedIn Fraud, Investment Scam: Morrisville Crimes

MORRISVILLE BOROUGH, PA — The Morrisville Borough Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents from July 28 to August 3.

These are the criminal incidents:

• Vehicle Theft — 07/28/26 — The victim reported their vehicle, which was parked at the Colonial Gardens, was taken after 2:30 a.m. on this date.
• Fraud — 07/28/26 — The victim was scammed out of $2,000 after she responded to an employment listing on LinkedIn. A person posing as someone from a legitimate company sent her a check for $4,995 and asked the victim to deposit it, then transfer small amounts of money to her via Zelle and Cashapp. After the amount reached $2,000, the victim’s bank flagged the transaction.
• Fraud — 07/28/26 — The victim stated she sent a known person $1,000 to invest for her. The person said they made $1,400 but then claimed he lost the money. The victim feels this may have been a scam.
• Arrest/Summons — 07/28/26 — A 24-year-old man will be issued a summons for possession and paraphernalia, after a traffic accident on East Trenton Avenue and Crown Street.
• Suspicious Person — 07/29/26 — Officers were dispatched to the unit block of Grandview Avenue for a report of a man, dressed in all black clothing, a black ski mask, and black gloves jumping over fences. A search was conducted with negative results.
• Arrest/Warrant — 07/29/26 — A 48-year-old man is wanted on a warrant for Retail Theft and RSP from an incident that occurred at the Giant Food Store. The total amount of merchandise stolen was $126.31.
• Arrest/Summons — 07/30/26 — A 27-year-old man will receive a summons for possession/paraphernalia following a traffic stop on the 300 block of W. Bridge St.
• Stolen Package — 07/31/26 — The victim reports that a Tenpoint Crossbow and Bolts was stolen the 200 block of Harper Avenue. Total value stolen $2,353.
• Criminal Mischief — 08/01/26 — The victim reported her window was broken out back of garage overnight in the 800 block of South Pennsylvania.
• Theft of Bike — 08/01/26 — The victim reported a Teal Schwinn Bike with pink letters stolen from the 800 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue over the last 48 hours. The cost of the bike was $400.
