Lower Bucks Libraries Launch Summer Programs
Bucks County Free Library is holding weekly Summer Quest events at its Levittown, Yardley-Makefield, and Bensalem branches. Find out when.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —Summer library programs are coming to four Lower Bucks County Free Library branches.
Each week of Summer Quest, Bucks County Free Library’s Langhorne, Levittown, Yardley-Makefield and Bensalem branches will introduce young readers to amazing performers and educators.
Registration is not required for any of these programs. Space is limited and available first come, first served, the library system announced in a press release.

- Magician Ran’D Shine —Monday, June 26, and Saturday, July 1, at 3:30 p.m. at the Langhorne branch; Monday, June 26, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, July, 1 at 1 p.m. at the Levittown branch; Tuesday, June 27, at 3:30 and 7 p.m. at the Yardley-Makefield branch; and Tuesday, June 27, at 1 p.m. at the Bensalem branch. Ran’D Shine’s shows are full of mind-boggling magic, illusions, and laughs. These shows are open to all and ideal for children ages 5 to 10.
- The DaVinci Science Center —Monday, July 3, at 3:30 p.m. at the Langhorne branch; Monday, July 3, at 7 p.m. at the Levittown branch; Saturday, July 8, at 1 p.m. at the Yardley-Makefield branch; and Saturday, July 8, at 3:30 p.m. at the Bensalem branch. Drawing inspiration from “Grossology,” a popular children’s book by Sylvia Branzei, children ages 5 to 13 will learn how their bodies digest food and excrete waste.
- Eyes of the Wild —Monday, July 10 and Saturday, July 15 at 3:30 p.m. at the Langhorne branch; Monday, July 10 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, July 15 at 1 p.m. at the Levittown branch; Tuesday, July 11 at 3:30 and 7 p.m. at the Yardley-Makefield branch; and Tuesday, July 11 at 1 p.m. at the Bensalem branch. An exotic animal rescue that cares for over 175 animals from 60 species, "Eyes of the Wild" will lead an interactive educational program with some of their animals. This event is ideal for children ages 5 to 10.
- Strongman Eric Moss —Monday, July 17, at 3:30 p.m. at the Langhorne branch; Monday, July 17, at 7 p.m. at the Levittown branch; Tuesday, July 18, at 3:30 and 7 p.m. and Saturday, July 22, at 1 p.m. at the Yardley-Makefield branch; and Tuesday, July 18 at 1 p.m. and Saturday, July 22, at 3:30 p.m. at the Bensalem branch. World record-holder and modern-day strongman Eric Moss will test his strength against steel, chains, and more. This event is ideal for children ages 5 and older.
- NJ Snake Man —Monday, July 24, and Saturday, July 29, at 3:30 p.m. at the Langhorne branch; Monday, July 24, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, July 29, at 1 p.m. at the Levittown branch; Tuesday, July 25, at 3:30 and 7 p.m. at the Yardley-Makefield branch; and Tuesday, July 25, at 1 p.m. at the Bensalem branch. Budding herpetologists will get to meet and interact with some of NJ Snake Man’s snakes and other reptiles.
- Music Play Patrol —Monday, July 31, at 3:30 p.m. at the Langhorne branch; Monday, July 31, at 7 p.m. at the Levittown branch; Tuesday, Aug. 1, at 3:30 and 7 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 5, at 1 p.m. at the Yardley-Makefield branch; and Tuesday, Aug. 1 at 1 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 5, at 3:30 p.m. at the Bensalem branch. Music educators from Philadelphia’s Music Play Patrol will help children of all ages explore different rhythms and create their own unique music.
The Langhorne branch of Bucks County Free Library is located at 301 S. Pine St. in Langhorne. The Levittown branch is located at 7311 New Falls Rd. in Levittown. The Yardley-Makefield branch is located at 1080 Edgewood Rd. in Yardley. The Bensalem branch is located at 3700 Hulmeville Rd. in Bensalem.
