Lower Makefield Twp. Celebrating Community Day Saturday
The annual event at Lower Makefield Township Community Park includes a mummers strut to start the day and fireworks to end festivities.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —Lower Makefield Township's annual Community Day kicks off Saturday with numerous events that conclude with a fireworks display.
The event starts with a performance by the Uptown String Band mummers and features vendors, food trucks, amusements, and five live bands.
Lower Makefield Township Community Day takes place from Noon to dusk at Lower Makefield Township Community Park at 1050 Edgewood Rd.

There are numerous free activities planned for families and residents including five live bands that will perform from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, Touch a Truck, WPST broadcasting live, amusement rides, and a tour of the American Water Plant.
Other events include balloon twisting from Noon to 6 p.m., face painting from Noon to 3 p.m., pony rides from Noon to 4 p.m., yard games and the fireworks at dusk.

The amusement rides include Eurobungy, Amazing Maze, Fun Mirrors, Double Axe Throwing, Pirate Bounce, Treasure Quest, and a Dragon’s Lair.
Some activities will cost money. Those include Bucks Bubbles, carnival games, and the Lower Makefield Township pool.
Raffle Baskets
A raffle basket table will include four Drexel University tickets to a women’s basketball game and four tickets to a men's basketball game, private dance lessons at Eileen’s Dance Academy ($120 value), Sheryl’s Sparklers Color Nail Strips, baskets from Unique Decorative Pillows and Paparazzi Jewelry, and gift certificates by Ivins Outreach Center and Action Karate Newtown Basket ($200 value).
Food Trucks
Food trucks include SoBol Yardley, Rooster and the Chick, Baked by Michela, Thai Cha Chak LLC, Cousins Main Lobster, Maui Lu Hawaiian BBQ, Kona Ice Truck, Corn Hub, Jay’s Joint, Ashley's Cotton Candy/Lemonade, and Panna Gelateria.
Vendors
Vendors include Paparazzi Jewelry, Ivins Outreach Center, Shoprite of Yardley, Moon Dance Meals, Unique Decorative Pillows, Eileen’s Academy of Dance, Sheryl’s Sparklers/Color Nail Strips, Wegmans Food Market, the Lower Makefield Township Historical Commission, LulaRoe, Herbal Healers, Studio Phoebe 22, ACRE Windows & Doors, Yang Orthodontics, Action Karate Newtown, Yardley-Makefield Lions Club, Weekday Nursery School, AOY Art Center, State Rep.
