Man Arrested In Yardley For Florida Robbery Warrant
Yardley Police said the Lawrence, N.J., man had outstanding warrants in Florida and New Jersey when he was involved in an accident Monday.
YARDLEY, PA —A New Jersey man is awaiting extradition on outstanding warrants in two states —including a robbery in Florida —after he was involved in an accident Monday morning, police said.
A Yardley Borough police officer spotted a minor vehicle accident in the parking lot in the 400 block on South Main Street at 3:39 a.m. Monday, Police Chief Joseph Kelly III said.
During the investigation, police said the driver was initially deceptive with his name.

The driver was identified and a records check revealed an open warrant from Hillsborough County, FL., for robbery, battery, and aggravated assault with a weapon.
A second warrant had also been issued by Mercer County, N.J., for failure to appear on a resisting arrest charge.

The 25-year-old man from Lawrence, N.J., was arrested and processed with the assistance of the Lower Makefield Township Police Department.
He was transported by constables to the Bucks County Jail pending extradition proceedings.
Police did not release the man's name.
