Marijuana Arrest, Stolen License Plate: Lower Makefield Crimes

April 1

IDENTITY THEFT — 1500 block of Silo Road, reported at 6:45 p.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) used their information to open a Verizon account.

March 30

RETAIL THEFT — 1600 block of Big Oak Road at Kohl’s, reported at 12:13 p.m. Loss Prevention reported on March 27 that an unknown woman entered the store and removed $310.85 worth of merchandise without paying. An investigation is ongoing.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE — 2300 block of Sterling Road, reported at 4:41 p.m. The complainant reported that sometime between March 28-30, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and removed $5.

March 29

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — West Trenton Avenue and Pine Grove Road, reported at 1:24 a.m. Police on patrol stopped a vehicle for violations. Further investigation led to the discovery of a small amount of marijuana. A 25-year-old Langhorne woman was cited for Disorderly Conduct.

ATTEMPTED THEFT FROM VEHICLE — 3400 block of Sterling Road, reported at 9:23 a.m. The complainant reported that sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the vehicle and rummaged through it. Nothing was reported missing at this time.

RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY ARREST — 500 block of Grange Drive, reported at 7:49 p.m. Police received an LPR hit for a vehicle in the area. While patrolling Pricket Preserve, police located the vehicle and conducted a felony car stop. The driver, a 47-year-old man from Silver Spring, MD, was detained and consented to a search of his person and vehicle.
A search of the vehicle revealed an additional stolen license plate. He was taken into police custody. He was charged with Receiving Stolen Property, Improper Sunscreening, Driving with a Suspended License, and Unregistered Vehicle.

March 28

IDENTITY THEFT — 300 block of Sherwood Drive, reported at 7:55 p.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) had opened several credit cards in their name. After closing or freezing all compromised accounts and opening new ones, they observed newly attempted fraudulent purchases to the new cards and accounts.

THEFT — 1900 block of Polo Run Drive, reported at 6:39 p.m. Police received an LPR hit on a vehicle for a stolen registration. A traffic stop was conducted, and it was determined that the
driver was unaware that their license plate was stolen and replaced with a stolen one.

RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY ARREST — Oxford Valley Road and Route 1, reported at 9:53 p.m. Police received an LPR hit for a stolen Nissan Sentra in the area. Police attempted to
stop the vehicle, but it disregarded two red traffic signals and eventually lost control, striking a curb. The driver and a passenger, both male juveniles, fled on foot. After a brief foot chase, they were taken into police custody and transported to headquarters for processing.

March 27

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF — 1500 block of Esther Lane, reported at 3:29 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) egged their residence, and threw bananas in their yard.
