Meth Possession Arrests, E-Bikes Cause Damage: Lower Makefield Crimes

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents for the past week.

These are the criminal incidents:

July 23

DUI ARREST — Big Oak Road and Makefield Road, reported at 11:22 p.m. Police on patrol stopped a vehicle for violations. Further investigation led to the arrest of the 36-year-old man from Trenton, N.J. for Driving Under the Influence, Possession of Marijuana and Xanax and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was taken into police custody.

July 22

FRAUD — 1600 block of Barnswallow Road, reported at 3 p.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) used and redeemed 40,000 miles from their American Airlines travel rewards for airfare.

July 21

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:

• 1900 block of Woodside Road at the Garden of Reflection, reported at 8:52 a.m. The complainant reported that two unknown juveniles riding e-bikes on the basketball courts, leaving skid marks. Damage valued at $100.
• 300 block of Saly Road, reported at 12:53 p.m. The complainant reported finding a nail propped up against their vehicle’s tire. An investigation is ongoing.

July 20

WANTED PERSON — Kathy Drive and River Road, reported at 11:03 a.m. Police responded to the report of a homeless encampment at the location. While on scene, police made contact with a 44-year-old Morrisville man, who was wanted by the Bucks County Sheriff's Office. He was taken into police custody.

PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS — 1600 block of Big Oak Road at Kohl’s, reported at 3:10 p.m. Police responded to the report of a disorderly person inside the store, holding an alcoholic beverage and harassing customers and employees. The 32-year-old Richland Township man was cited for Public Drunkenness and Disorderly Conduct.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE — 1400 block of Kathy Drive, reported at 6 p.m. The complainant reported that sometime overnight, unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and removed the owner’s manual. Other items left in the vehicle were scattered throughout it.

July 19

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — 300 block of Oxford Valley Road, reported at 2:47 p.m. Police on patrol stopped a vehicle for violations. Further investigation led to discovery of a small amount of marijuana. The 19-year-old male passenger from Philadelphia was cited for Disorderly Conduct.

July 18

DRUG ARRESTS:

• West Trenton Avenue and Pine Grove Road, reported at 12:23 a.m. Police on patrol stopped a vehicle for violations. Further investigation led to the arrest of the 40-year-old male passenger from Morrisville for Methamphetamine possession and Drug Paraphernalia. He was taken into police custody.
• 200 block of Taylorsville Road, reported at 8:18 p.m. Police responded to the report of a male using heroin in the residence. Further investigation led to the arrest of the 23-year-old township man for Possession of Heroin and Drug Paraphernalia. A records check revealed he was also wanted on a Probation Violation out of Bucks County. He was taken into police custody.
• Route 332 and Stony Hill Road, reported at 11:25 p.m. Police on patrol stopped a vehicle for violations. A further investigation led to the arrest of the 53-year-old male driver from Newtown for Possession of Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia. He was taken into police custody.
