Join A Board: Yardley Borough Seeks To Fill Vacancies
Yardley Councilman David Appelbaum is vetting applicants in hopes of filling some of the openings shortly.

YARDLEY, PA. —The borough has openings for nearly 20 positions on various boards that officials are trying to fill within the next week or so.
Councilman David Appelbaum said he is vetting candidates. He did not say how many applicants he received for the various positions. Applications were due on Wednesday.
He told the council at its recent meeting that he even created a spreadsheet to track the applicants and will be conducting interviews.

The vacancies, he said, were all advertised and posted on the borough's Facebook page.
They include:

- Three for parks and recreation
- Four for the environmental advisory board
- Three for the planning commission
- One for the sewer board
- Two for HARB
- Four for the human relations board
"There's plenty of opportunities to participate in these civic matters," Appelbaum said. "I want to make sure everyone is given fair consideration."
