Pennsbury Graduation Ceremonies Postponed

The National Weather Service forecast for Fairless Hills Monday calls for heavy rain in the evening that could cause flooding.

FAIRLESS HILLS, PA — Graduation ceremonies for Pennsbury High School have been postponed due to a rainy weather forecast.

Commencement had been scheduled for 5:45 p.m. Monday at Pennsbury High School-East's Falcon Field in Fairless Hills. But, Monday morning, the school district announced that, due to weather, graduation will be held on Tuesday instead.

All times and locations will remain the same.

The planned senior clap-outs at elementary schools will stay at the same times on Monday.

The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook Monday for an area including Fairless Hills, saying that downpours Monday evening and night could be heavy enough to cause local flooding.

A 50% chance of showers and heavy rain during the day Monday was forecast to increase to an 80% chance of heavy rains Monday evening, according to the NWS.

Tuesday's forecast calls for a chance of showers in the morning, becoming sunny later in the day.
