Pennsbury High Student Receives DAR Good Citizens Award
Elizabeth McKeever, a senior at Pennsbury High School, demonstrates dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in her community.

The Washington Crossing Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) recently presented the prestigious DAR Good Citizens Award to Elizabeth McKeever, a senior at Pennsbury High School.
The award, presented at a recent meeting of the Washington Crossing Chapter at the David Library of the American Revolution, is one of the ways the DAR supports education and recognizes outstanding young people in our community. Recipients must exhibit the qualities of good citizenship in their homes, schools, and communities and demonstrate dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism.
McKeever was nominated by an administrator, guidance counselor, and teacher at Pennsbury High School. Recommendation letters touted her dedication to academics and involvement in extracurricular activities, which include active participation in the Pennsbury marching band, color guard, and AFJROTC unit, where she recently was named deputy commander. Outside of school, McKeever is a longtime Girl Scout and recently participated in a mission trip to Costa Rica, where her troop planted trees to help stop erosion on riverbanks.
