Pennsbury Manor Gets $50K Grant

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — The historic home of state founder William Penn is getting a $50,000 grant.

State Rep. Jim Prokopiak and State Sen. Steve Santasiero presented the grant and toured the museum at the historic site on Wednesday afternoon.

The Pennsbury Society will use the funding to establish a public Wi-Fi network, giving visitors greater access to educational information about William and Hannah Penn, the Manor House, and the site's history.

Pennsbury Manor is the reconstructed colonial estate located at 400 Pennsbury Memorial Road in Morrisville along the Delaware River

It sits on a 43‑acre site that was once part of William Penn’s 8,000‑acre “King’s Grant” in Bucks County.

Penn lived there from 1699 to 1701 before returning to England, where he died in 1718.

Jim Prokopiak is the Pennsylvania State Representative for the 140th House District representing Falls Township, Morrisville Borough, Tullytown Borough, and parts of Middletown Township.
