Pennsbury Schools Close Early, School Board Canceled
On Thursday, schools in the Yardley area let out around mid-day, as 2018's first winter storm hit the area.

YARDLEY, PA — As 2018's first winter storm hit the region on Thursday, schools in the Pennsbury School District were dismissed early and Thursday's school board meeting was canceled.
Pennsbury High School let out at 10:40 a.m., middles schools were dismissed at 11:15 a.m. and elementary schools at 11:50 a.m. All after-school activities on Thursday were canceled, including the K-6 parent conferences that were scheduled, the district said.
Those conferences will be rescheduled.

Also, the Pennsbury School Board meeting scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in Fallsington was canceled, along with a board Patnerships and Marketing Committee meeting that had been set for 5 p.m. Board members intend to take up business scheduled for Thursday at their Dec. 6 meeting, district spokeswoman Ann Langtry said.
