Police ID Lower Makefield Pickpocket Suspect
The man, who has warrants for his arrest in three states, likes to target older women shopping at supermarkets, according to police.

LOWER MAKEFIELD, PA — Police in Lower Makefield Township have identified a suspect they say targets older women shopping at grocery stores.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Toney Martin Thomas, who police say already has warrants in Virginia and Maryland as well as East Marlborough Township and West Whiteland Township in Chester County.
Police believe Thomas is the man who was captured on surveillance video stealing a credit card out of someone's shopping cart at the Shop Rite at 1603 Big Oak Rd. in Yardley. The theft happened at about 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 21., police say.

Shortly afterward, someone used the stolen card to try to buy $2,000 worth of gift cards at the Target store in Langhorne. The card was denied, according to police.
Police describe their suspect in the case as a white male, who was wearing a black, Under Armour hat and sweatshirt.
Now, police say Thomas likes to steal bank cards from elderly women shopping at supermarkets, then use them to buy high-dollar amounts of gift cards at other stores.
