Historian Charlie Thomforde will tell about the circumstances in 1895 that led residents to want their town government separate from more rural Lower Makefield Township. The life story of Algernon Cadwallader, Yardley's first mayor, will also be shared - his Quaker roots, this marriage into the Yardley family, his service as a federal tax collector, and his experiences as mayor.
