Police Pursuit Of Stolen Vehicle In Lower Makefield Ends In Crash

LOWER MAKEFIELD, PA — A suspected stolen car led police on a Thanksgiving Day pursuit ending in a crash at the entrance to the Calhoun Street Bridge in Morrisville, according to multiple reports.

The incident began Thursday evening when Lower Makefield Police responded to a suspicious vehicle report at the Polo Run apartment complex on the Yardley-Langhorne Road.

When police arrived at the scene, the vehicle, which police determined was stolen, fled the area.

The pursuit ended at Delmorr and East Trenton avenues in Morrisville Borough at the entrance to the Calhoun Street Bridge when the fleeing car struck an SUV.

According to reports, seven people in the SUV were checked for injuries but none required hospitalization. The driver of the fleeing vehicle reportedly suffered a head wound.

The driver of the car was taken into custody, police said.
