Pub Opens At Shady Brook Farm
In addition to a cozy pub serving locally-crafted beer and wine, Shady Brook Farm has added outdoor tables for a beer garden atmosphere.

YARDLEY, PA — The local place known for its Christmas lights and holiday celebrations has something else going for it now: a pub.
Shady Brook Farm has recently opened The Stone’s Throw, a cozy pub serving locally-brewed beer, Bucks County wines and signature cocktails made with Pennsylvania spirits. It is located in the space between the farm market and the garden greenhouse.
Outdoor picnic tables have also been added to create a beer garden atmosphere.

“It’s called The Stone’s Throw because everything we serve is from a stone’s throw away,” said General Manager Kris Williams. “The idea is to enhance our guests’ farm experience and to promote homemade and locally-produced goods."
Shady Brook says it is working on a menu offering "simple but delicious" pub fare. For now, though, you can bring prepared food or a sandwich from the farm market and deli.

The environment is historic and cozy: many reclaimed pieces of wood from around Shady Brook were used to create the Stone's Throw, including the bar, the countertop, and the trim. "Much of the wood came from the Carriage House dating back to the 1800s and used to store seed," according to an announcement from Shady Brook.
During the week, The Stone's Throw is open from 11 am to 7 pm. This weekend, it will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Hours are subject to change.
Shady Brook Farm is located at 931 Stony Hill Rd, Yardley.
