Recycle Your Electronics In Yardley

YARDLEY, PA — Do you have old laptops, computers, video games or other electronics you don't need taking up space? An upcoming event in Yardley will give you a chance to have them recycled.

The E-Waste Recycling Event is set for Saturday, May 4, at William Penn Middle School in Yardley. The school is located at 1524 Derbyshire Rd.

From 9 a.m.-noon, the Environmental Advisory Council of Yardley, Lower Makefield and Upper Makefield is teaming up with E-Waste Experts, Inc. for the recycling event.

They'll be accepting electronic items including laptops, cellphones, video games, personal computers, wires, printers, televisions and more. Televisions and monitors will have a $30 fee to be recycled (LCD and LED are exempt).

They will not be accepting items including non-rechargable batteries, smoke detectors and items that hold freon, like air conditioner units or refrigerators.
