Road Closures Coming Wednesday For VP Harris Bucks Campaign Stop

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —With Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris campaigning at Washington Crossing Historic Park on Wednesday afternoon, State Police plan on road closures in the area.

State Police are advising the public to anticipate traffic delays and intermittent road closures between 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on the following roadways:

  • I-295 Eastbound and Westbound in Lower Makefield Township.
  • River Road in Lower Makefield Township.
  • Taylorsville Road in Lower Makefield and Upper Makefield.
  • General Washington Memorial Boulevard in Upper Makefield.

Police said it is anticipated that these traffic disruptions will cause secondary roads throughout the area to also be impacted.

The event comes two days after her opponent in the race, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump campaigned in nearby Oaks, Montgomery County. Harris, the Democratic nominee for President, and Trump are locked in a tight race for Pennsylvania's 19 electoral votes.
