Residents will have access to their driveways but might be delayed slightly while crews work in their immediate vicinity.

The contractor is expected to complete this section of paving by Tuesday, Aug. 15, weather permitting, township officials said..

The remaining section of Maplevale Drive is anticipated to be paved on Aug. 15, weather permitting.

The 2023 Road Program launched in early July.

In early May, the township approved the road paving program despite a bid coming in $379,000 over budget.

Like many municipalities, Lower Makefield Township was hit with rising asphalt costs due to inflation.

At that time, Township Supervisors approved the road improvement program even though the lowest bidder's cost was $379,000 more than the $785,000 the township had budgeted.

Township supervisors unanimously approved awarding a $1.16 million contract to Earle Asphalt Co. to repave and resurface parts of about 10 township roads totaling 3.13 miles.
