Road Rage, Thefts From Vehicles Top Lower Makefield Crimes
The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of recent criminal incidents.
LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —Numerous thefts from vehicles were reported by the Lower Makefield Township Police Departmentin its blotter of recent criminal incidents.
These are the criminal incidents:

THEFT FROM VEHICLES:
- Unit block of Berkley Drive, reported at 7:35 a.m. The complainant reported that, sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered their unlocked vehicles and removed about $120 worth of items.
- Unit block of Berkley Drive, reported at 7:50 a.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered their unlocked vehicles and removed about $5 worth of change.
- 1200 block of Linden Avenue, reported at 11:20 a.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and removed about $300 worth of items.

IDENTITY THEFT —1600 block of Quarry Road, reported at 1:07 p.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) hacked their cell phone and used their data to change their mortgage account.
THEFT FROM VEHICLES:
- 1100 (1103) block of Edgewood Road at Stoddart Field reported at 8:54 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) smashed their vehicle’s window and removed their purse.
- 1100 (1103) block of Edgewood Road at Stoddart Field, reported at 8:41 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) smashed their vehicle’s window and removed their purse.
July 8
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT —Unit block of Brook Lane, reported at 6:20 a.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) removed their 2018 GMC Acadia from their driveway. While awaiting police arrival, the victim received a notification from their bank that a withdrawal was attempted at a Wawa in Feasterville. Further investigation revealed the vehicle was in Philadelphia, PA. Upon arrival of LMT Detectives and Philadelphia PD, the suspects fled and a foot chase ensued. Two juveniles were taken into custody by PPD.
WANTED PERSON —Rt. 332 & Stony Hill Road, reported at 2:04 p.m. While conducting traffic enforcement in the area, police received an LPR alert for a felony warrant out of Upper Dublin. A felony car stop was conducted and the 69-year-old Philadelphia man was taken into police custody. He was turned over to Upper Dublin Police Department for his warrant.
THEFT —800 block of Duchess Drive, reported at 4:42 p.m. The complainant reported the theft of a package containing a laptop from their back porch.
RETAIL THEFT —1600 block of Big Oak Road at Shop Rite, reported at 4:51 p.m. Loss Prevention detained a 43-year-old Philadelphia woman for taking $102.16 worth of merchandise without paying. She was taken into police custody and will be cited for Retail Theft.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF —Route 1 and Oxford Valley Road, reported at 5:41 p.m. The complainant
reported being involved in a road rage incident where another driver banged on their door and ripped their car door handle off. After getting back into their vehicle, the offender threw a bottle at the victim’s vehicle.
July 7
RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY ARREST —Route 1 and Oxford Valley Road, reported at 10:35 p.m. Police on patrol received an alert for two stolen vehicles in the area. Police proceeded to the location to intercept them. After a brief pursuit, one of the vehicles turned onto a dead-end street, where multiple juveniles fled on foot. A juvenile male from Trenton, N.J., was taken into police custody and will be charged with Receiving Stolen Property, Fleeing & Eluding, and traffic offenses.
July 6
THEFTS:
- 1200 block of Yardley Road, reported at 3:17 p.m. The complainant reported the theft of a robotic lawnmower from their yard on July 5.
- 900 block of Hunt Drive, reported at 8:37 p.m. The complainant reported the theft of a bench from their property.
RETAIL THEFT —1600 block of Big Oak Road at Shop Rite, reported at 4:13 p.m. Loss Prevention reported known person neglected to scan $133.92 worth of merchandise at self-checkout since March. The store is handling it internally.
PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS —Stony Hill Road and Township Line Road, reported at 8:35 p.m. Police responded to the report of an intoxicated female pushing a stroller with two young children in the area. The 53-year-old township woman was cited for Public Drunkenness. The children were turned over to a family member.
July 5
FRAUD —1600 block of Barnswallow Road, reported at 9:28 p.m. The complainant reported providing payment for a puppy and not receiving it.
