A rolled ice cream shop will be opening this summer in downtown Newtown. Sworl Handcrafted Rolled Ice Cream will be located off State Street, in the white stand-alone building across the parking lot from Isaac Newton's.

"We start by using a homemade vanilla base recipe using the freshest ingredients from local farms. By pouring the vanilla base onto a cold plate, the ice cream base solidifies into the texture of ice cream, during that process is when the magic happens! Hours will be noon to 9 p.m.
