First-Ever Bucks County Food And Wine Festival Set For May

Chef Marc Murphy, a judge on The Food Networks show "Chopped," will make a guest appearance at the inaugural festival on May 17 and 18.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Food and wine lovers, rejoice — a new festival in Bucks County is starting up this year just for you.

The first-ever Bucks County Food and Wine Festival is set for Friday and Saturday, May 17-18, at Parx Casino's Xcite Center in Bensalem. The festival will run from 6-10 p.m. Friday and noon-6 p.m. Saturday.

According to organizers, the festival will feature some of the best local chefs, restaurants, wineries and breweries serving up delicious food and beverages. There will be tastings, judging and a celebrity-chef cook-off at the festival. Live musical performances are also on the schedule.

There will be a guest appearance by Chef Marc Murphy, a world-renowned chef and restauranteur and judge on the The Food Network's show, "Chopped."

All festival proceeds will go to Libertae, and addiction treatment and recovery center for women and their children from throughout Pennsylvania.
