Screws Left On Driveways That Had Trump Signs: Lower Makefield Crimes
Lower Makefield Police reported several incidents in which homes with signs for the former president had screws and nails left on driveways.
LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —Township homes that had signs supporting former President Donald Trump in Tuesday's general election had screws and nails left on their driveways.
Those were some of the criminal incidents the Lower Makefield Township Police Department released in its recent police blotter.

Oct. 31
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT —2200 block of Stackhouse Drive, reported at 8:13 a.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) stole their 2019 Infiniti QX60 from their driveway sometime overnight. The vehicle was later recovered in Philadelphia.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:
- 200 block of Reading Avenue, reported at 2:15 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) placed screws in their driveway. Trump signs were on the lawn.
- 600 block of Heacock Road, reported at 1:59 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) placed screws behind their tires.
- 1000 block of Lafayette Drive, reported at 1:28 p.m. The complainant reported finding screws near their Fitzpatrick sign.
- Unit block of Maplevale Drive, reported at 4:05 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) placed screws in their driveway.
- Unit block of Wendover Road, reported at 10:28 p.m. The complainant reported unknown juveniles egged their residence.
Oct. 30
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF —1300 block of Newtown-Yardley Road, reported at 7:44 a.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) had placed nails in their driveway. Trump signs were on the lawn.
CREDIT CARD FRAUD —1400 block of Scarlet Oak Road, reported at 12:12 p.m. The complainant reported an unauthorized use of their credit card for $1,487.

FRAUD:
- 600 block of Heacock Road at Elite Cleaners reported at 8:55 a.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) intercepted a mailed check, altered it, and cashed it.
- 100 block of Lavender Drive, reported at 1:19 p.m. The complainant reported speaking to someone who they believed to be with PayPal and sending 14 Apple gift cards totaling $700.
CREDIT CARD FRAUD —23000 block of Cornerstone Drive, reported at 1:30 p.m. The complainant reported an unauthorized use of their credit card for $666.25.
Oct. 26
CREDIT CARD FRAUD —2000 block of Wellington Road, reported at 9:45 a.m. The complainant reported an unauthorized use of their credit card for $5,284.98.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:
- 900 block of Harrow Road, reported at 3:48 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) placed nails and screws at the end of their driveway. Trump signs were on the lawn.
- 1300 block of Oxford Valley Road, reported at 4 p.m. The complainant reported an ongoing issue of unknown person(s) placing nails and screws in their driveway, which has been happening since a Trump banner was placed on the property.
Oct. 25
RETAIL THEFT —900 block of Vansant Drive at Wegmans, reported at 8:31 a.m. The complainant reported that on Oct. 21 around 6:12 p.m., an unknown male and female removed $192.48 worth of merchandise without paying.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS —900 block of Vansant Drive at Wegmans, reported at 12:16 p.m. Loss Prevention reported a known female who was arrested for retail theft in July was on the scene and the 59-year-old Lower Makefield woman was escorted from the store.
SOLICITOR —800 block Olsen Avenue, reported at 7:17 p.m. The complainant reported a solicitor for Advanced Axis was soliciting without a permit. They were advised to cease soliciting until a permit was obtained.
