LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —He took a trip to Patterson Farm before sunrise last week.

Yardley Photographer Josh Friedman was seeking his latest snapshot for Patch and the weather certainly wasn't ideal.

"It was quite cold, with temps in the low 20s," Friedman said. "On these days, manipulating my camera and tripod can be tricky. When I briefly take off my gloves, my fingers immediately feel the bitter cold."

But the farm framed a peaceful beauty in the snow.

"I was hopeful that around sunrise, there might be some interesting color. I got lucky, as the clouds became pink for a few minutes, which nicely complimented the soft blue sky," Friedman said. "A few minutes later, I fully appreciated the warmth of my car!"
