Stolen Car Used In Multiple Vehicle Break-Ins In Lower Makefield

Lower Makefield Township Police said there was an attempted vehicle theft before a car was stolen last Thursday.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —A car that was stolen in the township was used in multiple thefts from vehicles, police said.

The Lower Makefield Township Police Department is investigating the incident which began at 8:18 a.m. Thursday when a caller informed police of an attempted theft of their daughter's vehicle in the 700 block of Canterbury Drive.

Police said the door, steering column, and ignition were damaged.

Then came the theft of a Honda Odyssey at 8:43 a.m. in the 1400 block of Lee Circle.

Police said that the vehicle —later recovered in Bordentown, N.J. —was later used in multiple thefts from vehicles:

  • 1400 block of Lee Circle, reported at 9:04 a.m. Some entered an unlocked vehicle and rummaged through it. Nothing was reported missing.
  • 1200 block of Lexington Drive, reported at 9:30 a.m. Someone entered an unlocked vehicle and removed their registration and insurance cards.
  • 1300 block of Knox Circle, reported at 12:38 p.m. Someone entered the unlocked vehicle and rummaged through it. Nothing was reported missing.
  • 700 block of Dawes Drive, reported at 12:50 p.m. Someone entered the unlocked vehicle and removed $200 in cash and credit cards, which were later used at several locations in New Jersey.
