Stolen Packages, Contractor Fraud: Lower Makefield Crimes
The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents for the past week.
LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —A burglary and contractor fraud are among the criminal incidents reported by the Lower Makefield Township Police Department in its blotter has released its blotter this past week.

FRAUD:
- 1500 block of Makefield Road, reported at 11:40 a.m. The complainant reported hiring Choice Remodeling and Restoration to complete work on their residence that was damaged by a hailstorm. The insurance check was cashed, but the work has not been completed. The company has not responded to the homeowner’s attempts to contact them, and the business office is vacant. The investigation is ongoing.
- 1100 block of Kenneth Lane, reported at 5 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person intercepted a mailed check, altered it, and cashed it.

BURGLARY —400 block of Schindler Drive, reported at 9:12 a.m. The complainant reported a
suspicious vehicle at the location. An investigation revealed suspects entered an open garage
and stole packages before fleeing the area. The vehicle was reported stolen out of Hamilton, N.J.
IDENTITY THEFT – 800 block of Big Oak Road, reported at 2:35 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) opened a bank account in their name.
Aug. 27
DRUG ARREST —Covington Road and Aspen Woods Drive, reported at 11:15 p.m. Police on patrol stopped a vehicle for violations. Further investigation led to the arrest of the 56-year-old female driver from Levittown for False ID to Law Enforcement, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and related charges. A records check revealed she had an active bench warrant for a probation violation out of Bucks County. The 55-year-old female passenger from Feasterville-Trevose, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamines. Both women were taken into police custody.

IDENTITY THEFT —500 block of Delvale Road, reported at 12:32 p.m. The complainant reported an reported unknown person(s) opened a credit card in their name.
Aug. 25
THEFT —600 block of Floral Vale Boulevard, reported at 9:32 a.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) forced open the mailbox and stole all the mail.
IDENTITY THEFT —300 block of Saly Road, reported at 4:03 p.m. The complainant reported an nauthorized use of their credit card in the amount of $3,178.94.
Aug. 24
RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY ARREST —Route 1 and Oxford Valley Road, reported at 9:36 p.m. Police on patrol received an LPR alert for a stolen New Jersey tag on a vehicle. A felony traffic stop was conducted and a 33-year-old male driver from Newark, N.J., was taken into police custody.
