Suspect Swiped ShopRite Items 5 Different Days: Lower Makefield Crimes

The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of recent criminal incidents.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —A suspect seems to like the items offered by ShopRite, not ringing items in thefts at the store on five different days, police said.

Oct. 17

WANTED PERSON —Route 1 and Oxford Valley Road, reported at 10:26 a.m. Police on patrol received an LPR hit for a wanted person in a vehicle. The 26-year-old Florence, N.J. man was taken into police custody. He was arraigned by District Justice Kronnagel and sent to BCCF instead of $100,000 10 percent bail.

IDENTITY THEFT —2300 block of Lakeview Drive, reported at 1:05 p.m. The complainant
reported that someone opened a credit card in their name.

RETAIL THEFT —100 block of Oxford Valley Rd. at CVS, reported at 3:42 p.m. The manager reported that two women stole $2,700 worth of lipstick without paying. An investigation is ongoing.

Oct. 15

CREDIT CARD FRAUD —Unit block of Radcliffe Road, reported at 11:54 a.m. The complainant reported an unauthorized use of their credit card for $1,800.

RETAIL THEFT —1600 block of Big Oak Road at Shop Rite, reported at 11:18 a.m. Loss Prevention reported five separate thefts, by way of under ringing merchandise at self-checkout, by the same individual between Aug. 28 and Oct. 10 totaling $355.55. The 58-year-old Langhorne man was identified by his Shop Rite member card, Driver’s License, and vehicle registration. A criminal complaint was filed and he will be summonsed for five counts of retail theft.

THEFT —200 block of Taylorsville Road, reported at 3:40 p.m. The complainant reported the theft of a garbage can and a political sign from their property.

BURGLARY:

  • 600 block of Remington Drive, reported at 10 a.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, someone forced entry into the residence via a window, took the key fob from the residence and stole the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette from the driveway. The vehicle was later recovered in Irvington, N.J. An investigation is ongoing.
  • 2100 block of Dawn Lane, reported at 8:30 a.m. The complainant reported that sometime overnight, someone attempted to enter their garage. Two men were captured on their surveillance footage. An investigation is ongoing.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF —600 block of Burgundy Place, reported at 3:56 p.m. The complainant
reported that someone vandalized their political signs.

Oct. 11

THEFT FROM VEHICLE —8200 block of Spruce Mill Drive, reported at 4:28 p.m. The complainant reported sometime in the past two weeks, someone removed two sets of golf clubs from their vehicle and their trashcan from outside their residence.
