Taylorsville Road Improvements Coming

Lower Makefield Township officials have secured a $1.5 million grant to improve the key road.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — The township has been awarded a $1.5 million grant to make improvements to a key road.

Township officials said the grant comes through the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission 2025 Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside Program to support the Taylorsville Road Sidewalk and Drainage Project.

The funds will enhance pedestrian safety, improve drainage, and support long-term mobility along Taylorsville Road.

The project was one of only 12 selected from 41 applications across the Pennsylvania portion of the DVRPC region.

The grant reflects the township's readiness and ability to deliver impactful infrastructure improvements.

"We are also grateful for the strong letters of support provided by State Rep. Perry Warren, Sen. Steve Santarsiero, and the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor, which helped strengthen this successful application," officials said.

Township officials said additional updates will be shared as the project advances.
