YARDLEY, PA — An 18-year-old from Philadelphia is under arrest after police in Yardley say he set off a smoke bomb in the middle of a crowded concert.

The case dates back to Oct. 6, when a Yardley Borough Police officer was called at about 8:53 p.m. to investigate a fire alarm at a private, indoor concert on S. Main Street. Upon arriving, the officer saw about 100-150 people standing along the sidewalk and in the street and that the concert venue was filled with smoke.

Investigating, the officer learned that the smoke came from a firework that a man had set off before running away. The officer was able to identify a suspect in the case and warrants were issued on Nov. 14.
