Traffic Stop Finds Driver With Marijuana, Ecstasy: Lower Makefield Crimes

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents for the past week.

These are the criminal incidents:

Sept. 17

IDENTITY THEFT —200 block of Greenview Road, reported at 8:44 a.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) opened a Chime account using their information.

Sept. 16

RETAIL THEFT — 100 block of Oxford Valley Road at CVS, reported at 2:20 p.m. The manager reported that three unknown men entered the store. One man distracted the cashier while the other two men removed $172.90 worth of Red Bull and body wash. They fled in a gray Mitsubishi SUV with PA tags. An investigation is ongoing.

Sept. 15

CREDIT CARD FRAUD — 1200 block of Greenhill Road, reported at 11:42 a.m. The complainant reported an unauthorized use of their credit card of $2,815.75.

Sept. 14

RETAIL THEFTS:

• 1600 block of Big Oak Road at Kohl’s, reported at 12:50 p.m. Loss Prevention reported that an unknown person(s) stole a pair of sweatpants valued at $55 after committing a theft at Kohl’s in Bensalem on the same date. Investigation ongoing.

• 700 block of Stony Hill Road at Giant, reported at 1:56 p.m. Falls Township Police requested LMT officers respond to the location to check for a subject that had committed a retail theft at Best Buy in their jurisdiction. LMT officers observed the suspect walking out to his vehicle, and they also observed the stolen merchandise in the bed of his truck. He was detained and turned over to Falls Township officers.

• 900 block of Vansant Drive at Wegmans, reported at 6:37 p.m. Loss Prevention reported that a man walked past all points of service with a cart full of merchandise. When confronted, he stated he was going to call an attorney and left the store without the cart.

IDENTITY THEFT — 1400 block of Yardley-Morrisville Road, reported at 3:05 p.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) attempted to get their employer to change their direct deposit to a different bank account.

THEFT — 900 block of Antique Alley at LaGrange, reported at 5:55 p.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) stole their phone on 9/12 between 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Sept. 13

THEFT FROM VEHICLE — 5700 block of Spruce Mill Drive, reported at 5:27 p.m. The complainant reported that sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the locked vehicle and removed $30 in cash and their debit and credit cards.

Sept. 11

DRUG ARREST — 500 block of West Trenton Avenue, reported at 11:27 p.m. Police on patrol stopped a vehicle for violations. Further investigation led to the arrest of a 26-year-old male passenger from Trenton, N.J., for Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Ecstasy and Adderall, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Charges to be filed.
